MEET LAKE

Lake Terre is a Los Angeles-based actor and filmmaker whose creative journey has always been rooted in one fundamental belief: stories have the power to make us see ourselves—and each other—a little differently.

His path into filmmaking began with a love for performance and storytelling that eventually grew into a deeper fascination with what happens behind the camera. That evolution led him to earn a degree in Film Production at Cal Poly Humboldt, where he developed his craft across writing, directing, production, and the many moving parts that bring a story to life. Since then, Lake has continued to build a career that moves fluidly between performing and creating, working across narrative film, digital media, and production.

As a filmmaker, Lake is particularly drawn to psychological, character-driven stories that explore identity, spirituality, relationships, and the complexities of human nature. His work is personal without being confined to autobiography, often finding the extraordinary in the intimate and the cinematic in the everyday.

His short film Bright As a Feather, which he wrote and directed, marked an important milestone in that evolution. The film went on to screen at multiple festivals and earned Lake the 2026 W.A.V.E. Award, further establishing his voice as a filmmaker committed to telling stories with emotional honesty and purpose.

Alongside narrative filmmaking, Lake created FILMMXKER, his independent creative platform exploring film, filmmaking, and the culture surrounding the medium. Through both his own projects and his work on professional sets, he has continued to expand his perspective—not simply as someone who wants to work in film, but as an artist determined to create within it.

Today, Lake continues to pursue acting and filmmaking while developing original stories and building a body of work that reflects his growth, curiosity, and evolving vision. For him, the goal has never been simply to make films or perform in them. It is to create something that impacts people.

Meaning matters.
